Shooting Star Dragon. (almoust) Biggest monster from the Stardust series. He have 3 effects, all of which can be activated once per turn, but you really wouldn't use 1st effect (chances are you'll not draw into ANY tuner, and you'll be unable to attack). 2nd ability is actually that of Stardust Dragon, except that you don't have to release him. And 3rd one is same on both SSD and RND, so It'll not count into comparision.
| Red Nova Dragon is most evolved version of Jack's ace card. He also does have 3 effects; 1st is that he gains 500 attack for each tuner monster in your graveyard (if synchroed propertly, that should be at least 4 granting him nice 2000 ATK boost). 2nd is that he can not be destroyed by card effects. Particulary useful if opponent happens to have 2 Smashing Grounds in hand. And 3rd one is same on both SSD and RND, so It'll not count into comparision.

So now onto the comparision: Chances are, that if you can summon the 1st one, you can summon the 2nd one as well if you're playing deck like Fish Synchro or Flamvell, but really, in most decks Shooting Star Dragon is just so much easier to summon... But if you would decide between summoning SSD and RND definitely choose the latter, as his powerful attack and ability to not being destroyed by 2 destruction effects activated in same turn are just so much better. | |
